- The school and its foyer, aka the Fouaille
The Amicale ESBS shares the premises and is in close collaboration with the Bureau des Élèves of the school Télécom Physique Strasbourg (BDE TPS ~ Amicale for TPS). Thus, each member of the Amicale ESBS is also a member of the BDE TPS. ESBS students can therefore join TPS clubs (which are very numerous!).
ESBS and TPS are sharing the students’ foyer, or Fouaille for those who know it well. It is a semi-independent building located in the central courtyard of the school where you can go eat and hang out.
There is a large room with a bar, couches and a dance floor, a geek room, a pool room, a foosball room, a weight room, a music room, a laundry room, etc.
Most of the parties take place there! In fact, the BDE TPS organizes the vast majority of the parties at the Fouailles. From time to time, the Amicale BS takes over, especially during the integration of 1A BS students (see Integration).
For each party, the Bureau des Fêtes (BDF), a mixed PS-BS association, takes care of the atmosphere, by taking care of the music and the light shows.
The parties at Fouaille start around 6pm and end at 11pm, to continue with the after party in Strasbourg. There is always a meal served by the BDE or the Amicale for €1, around 7–8 p.m.
As the afters usually end after midnight, it is advisable to take an accommodation between Illkirch and Strasbourg to be able to come back more easily: the tramway stops around 0h30, but there are night buses from Thursday to Saturday (cf. CTS Website).
- Poly parties and Poly association
For large-scale events (4A graduation party or 3A disintegration party), the Amicale uses the large multi-purpose room of the Pôle API, located in the cupola.
The Poly evenings start at 11pm and end around 5am.
The multipurpose room can also be used by the Poly association, which gathers the VP Ext’ of all the BDE and Amicale of the 8 engineering schools in Strasbourg. These evenings are an opportunity to meet new people. The Poly association also organizes other events such as sports tournaments.
- Gala evening
And once a year, a big event takes place: the Gala evening. It is organized by the association Le Gala TPS-ESBS. A real meal is served by a caterer and is followed by a parade. This is an opportunity to dress up and match your outfit to the theme chosen for the occasion.
